Radio Ad Competition

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 4:49 pm

Are you a band, a DJ, or a producer? Want to hear your work on the radio and help BrisFest? Then compose and perform a radio ad for us.

In association with local media, BrisFest are putting out the call to all local bands, DJ’s, artists and producers to create a 30 second radio advert.

The winning ad will be used as the official BrisFest radio ad and will feature on local radio as well as on the brand new BrisFest website. The winner will also receive a pair of VIP tickets for this year’s festival. You can be a group of drummers, indie rockers or a bedroom producer: all are welcome to enter the competition and get involved with this year’s festival. Reach out to hundreds of thousands of people across the airwaves and through cyberspace, and help us get the word out by creating a mini masterpiece, perhaps even launching a profitable career in jingles!

Submission details:

  • All adverts must contain: date, location and prices of BrisFest 2010: 24th – 26th September, at Lloyd’s Amphitheatre in the city centre from £5 a day in advance from www.brisfest.co.uk
  • Track must be exactly 30 seconds in length (41.1 KHZ, 16 bitrate). Formats accepted include MP3, Aiif  and Wav files.
  • Deadline is 20th August 2010.
  • Tracks can be sent to us by uploading them to soundcloud, button below, or see http://soundcloud.com/groups/brisfest/dropbox

The winner will be notified via e-mail and jingle will be uploaded onto the BrisFest 2010 web-site on the 25th August.

Join the BrisFest 2010 Street Team

Join the official BrisFest 2010 Street Team and enjoy a whole bundle of exciting rewards! All Street Team members will get a free weekend pass for BrisFest 2010, free entry to selected Bristol clubs and live music venues, a festival t-shirt and poster, music downloads, CDs and much more.
BrisFest is one of the UK’s most innovative and exciting festivals, with three days of music and interactive entertainment courtesy of over 500 artists and performers. The festival will take place from the 24th to the 26th September at Bristol’s waterfront and other city centre locations. Bands, DJ’s, artists, comedians, and circus and cabaret performers will join together to make up a fantastic event run by the people, for the people.
Marketing and promoting the festival is absolutely vital to our success. The official BrisFest Street Team will spread the word all over Bristol and the South West in a variety of ways from attending events to distributing printed material.
As a registered charity, the Bristol Festival Community Group is dedicated to offering work placements and training throughout the year. We are looking for people at least 16 years old able to commit around 2-4 hours per week.
Joining the street team is a good first step towards getting more involved in other aspects of our work, including event management, décor creation, kids’ workshops, training, promotion and marketing, press and PR, sales and much more.
It’s your festival too!
To join or find out more, just email the BrisFest team at getinvolved@brisfest.co.uk with STREET TEAM in the subject field. Our volunteer managers will get in touch with you shortly and send you a volunteer pack with everything you need to know. Or see http://www.brisfest.co.uk/get-involved
