Kids Area

 

The kids area has expanded this year to include a brand new Kids stage tent as well as a workshops tent, bouncy castles, play area, traditional swing boats, helter skelter, stalls, games, National Science Association area, baby change facilities and a tea tent… plenty to keep them entertained! Near by is the Remix tent with music programmed by and for young people aged under 25, plus stalls aimed at teenagers. Elsewhere on site there’s a fun fair, workshops, dance classes and street theatre throughout the site with costumed entertainers guaranteed to amaze and amuse!

Here are the details of our fabulous entertainers:

Dominic Strutton - Come and sing along with Dom! Lots of familiar tunes to get your toes tapping…

Donna Wood - Join us for fantastic FREE workshops; Jewellery making and fun fascinators. Also hair braiding, nail art, pampering and so much more.

Ed Wicke is an author and fantastic storyteller – come and hear some of his wicked tales…

Edson Burton – Listen in wonder as experienced storyteller Edson carries you away with stories inspired by African culture.

Joshua Lee - Join musician Joshua Lee and learn how to play the ukulele! Ukuleles can be hired for £2 for the workshop

Kia Pettifer - Come and try out your spinning skills with a hula hooping workshop! Lots of swirly, twirly fun!

Natasha Fewings – Join talented dancer Natasha Fewings for a kids dance workshop. Come and show us your moves!

Paul Fryer – Come and sing, shake and jump along to songs about bees, foxes, frogs and dinosaurs… to name a few!

13.30pm- Dance Workshop: Join our talented dancer for a kids workshop. Come and show us your moves!

14.30pm- Ukulele Workshop: The Ukulele is a fun and easy instrument to pick up, come along and learn your favourite songs with the children!

15.30pm – Hula Hoop Workshop: Come and try out your spinning skills with a hula hooping workshop! Lots of swirly, twirly fun!

16.30pm- Jewellery Workshop: Join us for fantastic FREE workshops; Jewellery making and fun fascinators.  Also hair braiding, nail art, pampering and so much more.
