Location

Ashton Court is a beautiful manor house and estate within 30 minutes walk from Bristol City Centre.

See ashtoncourtestate.co.uk

For the last four year’s we’ve been based in Bristol’s Harbourside area on concrete, so this marks a move onto a grassy green site with a much bigger capacity. For those that know the estate we’ll be in the beautiful show-ground; the best field on the site where the Balloon Fiesta is held each year, just past the mansion. For those that don’t know the site it’ll be clearly signposted and we’ll upload detailed maps nearer the time.

Getting to Brisfest

Walk - We’re at the bottom of the hill so the quickest route from Bristol on foot is via Festival Way, a pedestrianised route direct from the centre  past UWE Bower Ashton campus which takes approximately 30 minutes. We ask that anyone coming from Clifton or any other direction take care when traversing through the estate and stick to the lit paths at all times.

By Bus – Festival shuttle buses will run all day each day on a circular route direct to the event site, with pick ups from Temple Meads, the bottom of Stokes Croft and the city centre. More details to follow shortly. You can get to these pick up points on public transport, see www.firstgroup.com for timetables.

By Bike – There’s a cycle route direct from the centre via Festival Way and plenty of bike racks to lock your bike to outside the event, to download cycle routes see www.sustrans.org.uk/sustrans-near-you/south-west/565

By train - the nearest station is Bristol Temple Meads where you can hop on one of our shuttle buses.

By coach – both the megabus and national express bus stations stop in the city centre, from there walk or hop on the festival bus. We’ll also be putting on direct coaches from a number of locations so look out for more info soon.

By car – public parking, including disabled parking, is available adjacent to the festival site. There will be a surcharge for parking to cover the costs of providing the spaces of £3.50 in advance, £5 on the gate. Please do not park on surrounding roads as not only do you risk being towed but also jeopardise the future of the event by upsetting local residents and causing traffic congestion.

Important Info

  • The Brisfest site will have full disabled access and accessible toilets, however it is on grass.
  • Please dress appropriately for hot or wet weather, as appropriate.
  • No dogs or other animals permitted on site, except guide dogs.
  • You may be searched on entry.
  • No glass bottles.
  • Due to licensing laws we are unable to allow you to bring your own alcohol, however there will be very reasonably priced bars on site, proceeds from which go towards the festival, helping to keep the entry prices so low.
  • There will be a challenge 25 scheme in place at the bars so if you are lucky enough to appear under 25 please bring ID.
  • The site is open to all ages, kids under 12 free. Please do not leave children unattended at any time.
